Frequently Asked Questions

Why the Kettlebell?

The kettlebell is the preeminent tool for maximizing muscular strength, cardiovascular health—interval training and core conditioning—and it ALL can be done at the same time, in the same workout, without your feet ever leaving the ground. It beats any other fitness tool for the results you desire.

Our class format allows for:

  • Challenging group setting—accountability from your instructor AND your classmates

  • Camaraderie and social support—the number one determining factor in permanent weight loss and adherence to an exercise program

  • Results-oriented class programming and technique perfection—constantly striving for improvement with each and every rep increases your chances of success

  • Affordability—hands on instruction and motivation at a fraction of the cost of a personal trainer

  • Class design. That's right—designed—not thrown together. Class design changes daily.

Combine the best tool for the job with "like-minded" individuals at a cost that's right for your bank account and you have a recipe for success!

Why Is Your Program More Expensive Than A Gym Membership?

Simple.

We engage in a personal relationship with you, very similar to one you would have with a personal trainer. We teach you how to move your body, how to use the kettlebell, design your workouts for you, guide you in positive lifestyle choices and behavioral change and answer any health and fitness questions you may have. You are assured expert instruction from industry-leading professionals affiliated with the StrongFirst—the World's First and Leading Kettlebell Instructor Certification Program. Not only that, we also have fun, quarterly events planned for you that build community.

Now, ask yourself, "Does my gym do ALL that?"

What are my payment options again? Do you offer Discounts?

You have four options:

  • Pay for your membership in one lump sum at the beginning of your term.

  • Pay monthly at the beginning of each month.

  • Pay for flex passes - a group of classes that you use as your life schedule allows.

  • Pay drop in: $20 at the beginning of each class you choose to "drop-in."

The reason we prefer you pay in full before you start your classes is for your benefit: Cash is commitment. If you don’t pay, you’ll make excuses not to play. The bottom line is that we want you to see and feel results that you may not be used to getting. This can only be done over the course of time through consistent and intelligent exercise design and the application of nutritional strategies for results, which we provide for you here at Rapid Results Fitness.

Do I have to attend Jump Start Class?

To join the classes it is mandatory if you have never done kettlebell training before. If on the other hand you have trained with kettlebells before and are already familiar with the Swing, Turkish Getup, Clean, Press, Squat, and Snatch then you may be able to join the regular class schedule without attending a Jump Start class first. Please call 919.210.5120 or email rapidresultsfitness@gmail.com to confirm.

I haven’t exercised in a long time. I’m concerned that I won’t be able to keep up with the pace of the class. What if I have NEVER lifted a weight before?

You do not have to be an athlete or be “in shape” to train at RRF. It’s OK if you’ve never even picked up a weight before in your life. We LOVE coaching individuals at the start of their journey! We all start as beginners and ask that you give yourself permission to show up, as you are, and honor your current strength and fitness level. Our team of amazing coaches will guide you through the flow of class, making sure you feel safe and supported as you work at your current level. They will provide suggestions, feedback and modifications, if needed. Be brave. You can do hard things.

We do ask that you show up and treat everyone you meet with kindness and respect. We do ask that you give whatever you have on that given day, and have some fun in the process. We do ask that you trust us and take our advice. (We want to safely help you become even more awesome. Sounds good, right?). The classes are designed for you and the veteran exerciser. We start you with the very basics of exercise, so you are successful right at the start. You will notice that you get in shape very quickly both from a strength and stamina perspective. Our classes are designed to challenge everybody, regardless of their exercise experience.

I have had injuries in the past. Can I still do this style of workout?

Absolutely—as long as you have your physician's clearance. The exercises you will learn are very good for old injuries such as shoulders and backs. In fact, most people experience improved flexibility and strength in areas of old injury. Our program is built on solid universal training principles and sound body mechanics avoiding overuse and misuse in the body. We focus on quality of the movement, not quantity. Our motto is “Don’t load a bad pattern”…

What can I expect during a training session?

Encouragement (we love to give hi-fives!), positivity (we love to build you up!), education (we hope you learn something!) and lot of fun. We also hope to provide an opportunity for you to realize that you are strong, powerful and capable.

Each class timeslot is an hour. Although because of the time efficiency of the kettlebell sometimes class ends sooner. Every coach performs the same movement prep at the start of class. This movement prep includes breathing, rocking, crawling, and other movements to prepare for the awesomeness that is to come. The coach will then review the training for the day and explain the movements. Our coaches will work with you every rep of the way ensuring proper form and cues to help you along the way. Every class finishes with a cool-down, dance session and applause. (Just kidding about the dance sessions. Although formal dance was Betsy’s background, she is always looking for an opportunity to dance!)

How exactly does the class scheduling work? Will I be able to attend different times during the week?

We recommend training 3x a week for best results to build a consistent exercise program and allow for recovery. However, life is hectic and often unpredictable.  So, you are able to come to any class you want throughout the class schedule. Because of the current COVID-19 conditions and because indoor space is limited we do ask that you register for class ahead of time to reserve your spot in class.
